There's a generation that grew up between the cracks. Too young to be Boomers. Too old to be Millennials. We were the latchkey kids — door key on a string, TV as a babysitter, and absolutely zero adults monitoring our screen time because screen time wasn't a thing yet.  We drank from garden hoses. We survived without seatbelts, sunscreen, and self-esteem coaches. We got our hearts broken by the Challenger, our minds blown by MTV, and our Saturday mornings hijacked by cartoons nobody had to approve. Nobody made a big deal about us then.
